Rise in British Economic Growth

The British economic growth has been said to be improving reaching its highest in 3 months measurements. However, little is felt by the nation and the unemployment and investment rates remain a troubling factor of the current state of the economy.

However, a growing trend is the movement towards socially responsible business conduct which might indicate that the upcoming future of the British economy might be a bit brighter that we can suggest currently. The concept of socially responsible investing vests power into companies in return of them applying policies for the good of the public. This includes improvement of infrastructure when certain projects are being undertaken, the development of alternative resource development, the re-use of energy and the manner of conduct complying firstly with the needs of the society. A good example would be the Anglo-American mining company that promises to undertake a socially responsible conduct and to contribute to the economic growth in the UK. An already quite impressive company is Siemens that remains one of the strongest foreign establishments in the UK with its vast influence over the population and its activities aiming to induce a sign making a clear notice – people need more responsible companies to lead the economic growth.

And while such theoretical discussions are still on a private level, public bodies do little to appreciate them. The parliamentary debates seem focused on how to reduce the level of finance usage rather than increase them. Along with the considerations on the voting system, the UK politicians pay almost no attention to social responsibility issues – something they should have already adopted as a priority if they want to see the UK economy growing.
