Tech Brands Londoners Use
Interestingly, observations of the most popular products on the London tech market seem to differ significantly – some suggest certain trends, other point out particular products and brands. Nonetheless, it is interesting seeing what out fine city consumes the most in terms of technology and what the innovations in the technology industry have brought to the people in the city. From mobile technologies to laptops, Londoners seem to be keen on certain brands and not quite positive as a general on others.
In terms of smartphones, the all time winners are Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry phones. Most of the people in the city that use smartphones would prefer one of these devices – this is why the two companies share almost 60% of the market share in smartphone technologies in London. Ranging from apps on how to claim compensation for accidents at work to stunning HD games, iPhones are the most entertaining smart devices currently on the market. Blackberry remains the most used corporate means of communication as many companies use the brand as a service provider for corporate email services and instant messaging. Nokia are the company that fell the most in terms of mobile devices sold in London – despite its brand new and stunning devices which offer excellent experience, the company keeps falling behind the competition. Samsung and HTC are advancing and soon they might be the main competitors for RIM’s products.
The most preferred laptops in London from the general consumer remain the Apple’s products. However, the most consumed products are far more affordable – the general consumer would love to have an Apple product, however, brands such as Acer and HP remain the most used laptops in London mainly because of the widely popular and capable software of Microsoft. Smaller percentage of people buy Apple and Sony Vaio products because these products, despite being the highest quality products on the computer market, are significantly more expensive. Higher interest is observed for Lenovo computers – the Chinese brand offers great diversity of laptops at reasonable prices.
